Deployment for Vice President of Insight - Eileen Konopacki
Eileen Konopacki has been the Vice President of Insight Property Services, Inc. since 2009, helping her husband Joe Konpacki, who is the President and CEO, manage and run this wonderful company and make it what it is to this day.
Eileen is also a Chief Warrant Officer 3 in the Illinois Army National Guard. She began her military career in 1989 and has served in various units across Illinois. As an enlisted Soldier and Non-Commissioned Officer for 17 years, she held positions such as small arms and towed artillery repairer, marksmanship instructor, automated logistics specialist, mechanical maintenance supervisor, and first sergeant. Following her appointment as a Warrant Officer in 2006, she has served as a technical advisor in both Armament Systems Maintenance and Automotive Maintenance.
Eileen deployed as a Master Sergeant in 2004-2005 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where she was the Operations Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of Base Operations for Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. She deployed again in 2007-2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Chief Warrant Officer, part of a small Logistics Military Advisor Team providing mentorship to the Iraqi Army in southern and central Iraq. Aside from her deployments to the Middle East, she has been mobilized for missions in Japan, South Korea, and Puerto RIco, as well as disaster relief missions within the state and in New Orleans.
Upon her return from her various deployments and mobilizations, she resumed her duties as a federal Department of Defense technician, where she has been employed since 1995 in various military equipment maintenance positions. She has been the Northern Region Maintenance Manager since 2012, managing shops which provide maintenance and logistics support to the northern half of the state.
Eileen's military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, and Combat Action Badge.
In early November we will once again be wishing Eileen safe travels overseas, and most importantly a safe return home next Fall, as she is set to leave on her third deployment. She will be dearly missed by all of the staff here at Insight, especially her husband Joe Konopacki with whom she founded this company. They have been been happily married for 17 years, and they are long-time Lisle residents along with their granddaughter Kali. Their daughter Desiree and her fiancé Kyle are expecting a young son in early December. Her parents, Silvestre and Salvacion Sulit, reside in Crest Hill, Illinois.
