If you're experiencing high utility bills, hot/cold rooms, ice dams, poor air quality, drafts, poor air circulation, etc., we can help you. A Home Performance Audit will identify the source of those problems and the correct way to address them, before you spend thousands of dollars in inefficient contracting work. We provide contractors with an outlined action plan to assist them through renovations. We provide a complimentary audit after any renovations are completed to ensure the work was done correctly.
We assist builders, architects, and contractors with new construction, as well as consulting during construction to ensure that homes and commercial spaces are being built properly and efficiently.
Used to see how much air is leaking through the duct system specifically. Best to be done during rough-in before drywall is put up.
ENVELOPE TIGHTNESS TEST (BLOWER DOOR)
Used to see how much air is leaking through the doors, windows, wall, etc. of the house.
We offer the following tests in addition to any service or as stand-alone testing: Air quality, mold, VOC, Radon, formaldehyde, pest, and combustion safety. Your body’s reaction to poor air quality can often mimic cold symptoms such as a runny nose, itchy throat, watery eyes, headaches, sinus problems, allergies, or asthma. If you notice these symptoms are worse when you are in your home or office, have the air quality tested to pinpoint the source of the problem.

Insight does not provide contracting services, as we believe doing so could lead to a conflict of interest. However, we can and often do recommend contractors in your area that we know to provide quality work, and who are committed to the proper application of building science principles. Just email us or check out our Affiliate page. Whichever contractor you use, remember to have Insight's consultants return and retest your home after the work is completed.
